Merry Christmas to you, too! I think if you read the entire article, you'll see I agree with you. Internet porn is 100% abuse of the consumers, and it is indeed targeting teen boys. I'd love it if the porn producers stopped.... but they do not appear to be backing off. I'd love tougher policy, but government does not seem to think it is a priority. So the only option parents have left is porn literacy.

You can bet I'll be sharing this post, Kate! Thanks to you & Christopher for amplifying this issue & sharing important info with parents. And thanks to your daughter -- her comment is so important. Porn IS, sex IS and when we come at either topic in absolutes, our kids tune us out because things aren't that simple.

All that said: I hate that this is where we are. I hate that tech companies have become so omnipresent and powerful and profit-driven that we all have to have these conversations w kids b/c there's a very real chance that a boy (or girl) looking for basic info about sex, bodies, or relationships will be served up porn.
